Appearance[]

Aurogrinders are large Oni that have a similar body type to Terragrinders. Their bodies are covered in golden scales and green gemstones, and they have a row of golden spikes on their back. They have small orange eyes with red sclera, two large fangs on their upper jaw, short, beard-like hair on their lower jaw and three horns. They also have a short tail, and their fins have a pincer-like shape. Like Terragrinders, they regenerate their fins, legs, spike and tail during a rampage, which become mostly made of gemstones.

Combat[]

Destructible parts[]

  • Both fins and legs, the tail and the spike on its back can be severed and purified. The fins and the tail can also be permanently destroyed in Toukiden 2.
  • The horn can be permanently broken.

Attack techniques[]

"Slash" is more effective overall.

Trivia[]

  • Aurogrinders are the only non-variant Oni that doesn't have an intro cutscene, most likely due to the fact they don't appear in any story missions.
  • Aurogrinders are the only Oni in Toukiden: Kiwami that does not drop anything other than their specific materials, other than the occasional Eye of Truth mask.
  • Although they appear often at the Ruins, their Mitama don't seem to be obtainable in the Free Alliances Version of Toukiden 2.
