"There's one worthy of note. A biped, four[sic] arms, and massive purple fists."
—Tokitsugu, seeing a Brutebeast leading an Oni horde.
Brutebeasts are the eleventh large Oni introduced in Toukiden 2, first appearing in Yokohama, but only having their first full battle in the Age of Chaos. One of them lead an attack on Yokohama during the Awakening, but disappeared through an Oni Gate and was never seen again until ten years later. They are also the game's mascot.

---|---|---|---|
A large Oni with a strong body and powerful arms. During the Awakening ten years ago, it served as the leader of the Oni and was seen laying waste to the world. Its name comes from the way it brutally wrecks everything in its path, just like a mad beast.[2] 強靭な体躯とすさまじい豪腕を持つ大型の“鬼”。十年前のオオマガドキの際、“鬼”たちの先頭に立って、世界を蹂躙する姿が目撃されている。 その名は日食を起こす凶星「羅睺」に由来し、すべてを飲み込むものの意味を持つ。[3] |

Trivia[]
- The Brutebeast's Japanese name references Rāhu, a Hindu deity and celestial body that swallows the sun and the moon, creating eclipses.
- When watching the Brutebeast's intro cutscene outside of the main story, the Drakwing theme plays instead of Brutebeast's. This might be due to the Drakwing not having a proper intro cutscene, but still being defeated before the Brutebeast from the Defense of Yokohama.
