Chitose (千歲[3], translates to "a thousand years old"), formerly known as Kyokai (虚海), is the main antagonist of Toukiden: Kiwami. She is one of the founders of the Slayers, later becoming half-Oni and part of the Council of Elders.

A mysterious girl. Half of her body has been infected by the Oni's miasma, making her a half-human, half-Oni hybrid. Her background is shrouded in mystery, and no one knows her true age or origin. Her vague insinuations cause the player character a great deal of trouble. She is said to possess the ability to talk with animals, and to bend them to her will.
Toukiden: Kiwami (in-game)[]
A mysterious young girl. Half-human, half-Oni, she acts and speaks in a way that suggests she is older than she appears. Her true identity is one of the leaders of the Council of Elders. As leader of the Oni research section, she spearheaded the Animus plan. She founded the Slayers with the Great Unifier 1000 years ago, but became lost in the mists of time.
Having jumped forward a millenium and lived through several decades in this age, she begins a series of "experiments" to find out the answers to her many queries. The Slayers put a halt to her activities, however, saving her from herself. After regaining her human form, she joins the Slayer organization once again.
