Kondō Isami is an Attack type Mitama introduced in Toukiden: The Age of Demons, changing to Plunder type Toukiden 2.
Description[]
1834 - 1868
The commander of the Shinsengumi at the end of the Edo period. He policed the streets of Kyoto to suppress those causing violence under the motto "revere the emperor and expel the foreigners." After the imperial loyalist, Itō Kashitarō, broke away and formed the Goryō Eji, Kondō got him drunk and had him assassinated. He was shot by the Goryō Eji as retribution and was unable to fight in the Battle of Toba-Fushimi. As the new imperial government's forces marched toward Edo, his forces were sent to confront them. However, this was a trap organized by the peace-seeking faction, led by Katsu Kaishū, to eliminate Kondō's group, which was intent on resisting. They were hopelessly outnumbered and were defeated. The assassination of Sakamoto Ryōma was pinned on the Shinsengumi, and Kondō was beheaded at the insistence of the Tosa Domain.
