Description[]
1546 - 1604
A samurai of the Azuchi-Momoyama period. He is well-known as Toyotomi Hideyoshi's strategist. It is said that the flood attack against Takamatsu Castle and the forced march following the incident at Honnōji were both his ideas. At the Battle of Sekigahara, the Kuroda Army set out for battle together with his son, leaving only a handful of troops to defend their position, but he was able to make good use of his strategies and successfully conquered Kyūshū. He was so brilliant that even Hideyoshi himself feared him, but he retired in his later years and quietly lived out his life playing with the children in his area.
