"Hahahaha! This is the giant snake from myth! Can you defeat even this foe, Machina User?"
Shiki, when Tokiwa-no-Orochi enters a rampage.

Tokiwa-no-Orochi(s) are the fourteenth large Oni introduced in Toukiden 2, first appearing in Yokohama. One of them is the game's final boss.

Description[]

Toukiden 2
An incredibly ancient Oni that was sealed in the vicinity of Mahoroba Village. With the power to both cross and modify time, it is said that a single one of them wiped out a flourishing ancient civilization. It is thought that the various legends from around the world about "a snake that brings disaster" originate with this Oni.

Trivia[]

  • The time ring material might be named after the first part of Tokiwa-no-Orochi's name, 時輪 (tokiwa, time ring).
  • Manhunters and Tokiwa-no-Orochi(s) are the only Oni (excluding variants) for which all parts can be completely destroyed in Toukiden 2.
    • Orochi is also the only final boss in the Toukiden games that regenerates all of its parts during a rampage.
  • Tokiwa-no-Orochi might have separate minds on each of its heads, as the Japanese dialogue refers to it with the suffix "-tachi", which is used in plural.
